Born in Wisconsin, I cut my teeth in Chicago, now I find myself in the Pacific Northwest. This page used to contain a glamorous description of an artistic past. These days, I focus on learning, educating, and expressing. As I’ve grown, my theories and pedagogy have become increasingly simplified.

The work of an artist and craftsperson isn’t defined by an ability to seclude and subsequently emerge with fantastic revelation.

It is to participate, allowing the creation of art to become a by-product of that act.

This leads to necessary truth.

Our only responsibility is to participate in the world around us, and to document the worlds we can imagine.

Keenan serves as Technical Director and Resident Assistant Professor of Theatre at Pacific Lutheran University.
